Who we are
Les Curateurs operates this website. If you have a question about this policy or about your data, write to contact@lescurateurs.com.
What we collect
If you join our mailing list, we store the email address you give us and the date you gave it. Nothing else — we do not store your IP address alongside it, and we do not ask for a name.
If you hold an account, we store the email address, name and profile link you provide, and the type of profile you hold.
If you allow analytics cookies, we receive aggregate statistics about which pages are visited and how visitors arrive. This is not linked to your email address or your account.
While the site is in its pre-launch state it is protected by a shared password. Entering it sets a cookie proving you knew it. That cookie identifies nobody and contains no personal data.
Why we use it
To send you the updates you asked for; to operate your account if you have one; and, with your permission, to understand how the site is used so we can improve it. We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it to build advertising profiles.
Who we share it with
We use a small number of service providers who process data on our behalf: Resend for sending email, Clerk for account sign-in, Google Analytics for site statistics where you have permitted it, and Google Cloud for hosting our application and database.
Some of these providers process data in the United States. Where that is the case, the transfer is made under the safeguards those providers offer for international transfers.
We also link out to the websites of the brands we feature. Some of those links are affiliate links, which means we may earn a commission — see our Terms for the detail. Once you follow a link you are on that brand’s site, governed by their privacy policy, not ours.
How long we keep it
Mailing-list addresses are kept for 24 months from your last interaction with us, or until you ask us to remove yours, whichever comes first. If you unsubscribe we keep a record that you did so, in order to honour it.
Account data is kept for as long as the account exists.
Analytics data is retained according to the retention setting on our Google Analytics property.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to contact@lescurateurs.com and we will respond within one month.
Every email we send carries an unsubscribe link, which takes effect immediately and needs no explanation.
You can change or withdraw your cookie choices at any time from the Cookie settings button in the footer of any page.
Cookies
We set no non-essential cookie until you permit it. Our Cookie Policy lists every cookie we use and what it does; the Cookie settings button in the footer of any page is where you change your choices.
